Group Therapy

Group Therapy is a powerful therapeutic intervention that can improve connection and support with people going through similar experiences. Benefits of group therapy include lower cost than individual counseling, positive social supports, and skill building around areas of your life that are a struggle. If you are interested in attending our groups, please contact the front desk at 707-206-7268 to sign up and for additional information. Currently all group therapy offered online via zoom.

Learn Breathing Retraining: Learn how to use Cognitive Restructuring to overcome cognitive distortions that lead to emotional distress: Learn specific techniques to examine current situations and solve current problems by changing perceptions. Learn how to support co-occurring issues.

Timings: 3.30pm to 4.30pm

Identify high risk situations and challenges in early Recovery: Learn a new set of Recovery skills to prevent relapse and foster sobriety: Learn how to deal with triggers, cravings and urges. Develop a written RPP-Relapse Prevention Plan. Learn how to utilize group support for continued sobriety and wellness. Develop new coping skills.

Timings: 4.00pm to 5.00pm

Learn how Trauma and Addiction issues are related: Learn how to move forward from Trauma and Addiction to start the healing process: Develop healing strategies that support change and foster personal growth. Learn to be gentle to yourself and develop new self-care practices. Develop new coping strategies.

Timings: 3.30pm to 4.30pm

Provides skill building tools, through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for PTSD and Substance Use Challenges.

Timing: 9.30am to 10.30am

DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy) Group Psychotherapy to restart on 02/02/23 and 02/09/23. Open to all Siyan Adult Patients. Learn skills for Emotion Regulation/Distress Tolerance/Mindfulness/Social Skills.

Who? Adult Patients Registered with Siyan. The group caps at 12 members.

What is it? Dialectical Behavioral Therapy or “Developing Balance Therapy” teaches skills for Emotion Regulation, Distress Tolerance, Mindfulness, and Interpersonal Effectiveness. Participants will learn these skills and engage in rich discussions on how to apply them to improve their mental health and quality of life.

When? Occurring Thursdays 9:30-11:00am for 12 weeks.

Where? Telehealth via our Kareo app.
